Ideal for Cross-stitch mounts,
Photograph mounts, and even Decoupage mounts.
Paintings tend to be larger and may require the additional use of our
extension piece. Why should you put in
all that effort and expertise and then allow someone else to charge you just to
cut a mount?
Using this
attachment you can cut your own mounts with a beveled (slanted) edge so that
the edge of the cut is visible as a border around the aperture in the
traditional manner.
This
attachment is designed to work with the basic system or with the extension piece
when you want apertures larger than 8 inches (200 mm) diameter.
We believe
this is the first system, which enables you to accurately cut curved shapes
like hearts and flowers with a beveled edge.
It is certainly far more affordable than almost any other bevel cutting
system on the market and because it takes standard scalpel Blades (Swann-Morton
size 10A) the maintenance costs are virtually non-existent.
We do know
this is a fraction of the cost of other mount cutting systems but we also know
it cuts curved mount shapes like ovals just as neatly and is far smaller and
manageable. Straight line cuts are not
quite as good as the more expensive systems but we are working on that…
