Useful for large Patchwork designs, and large
picture/photograph mounts. This enables
the user to cut or draw circles and other shapes much larger than before, e.g.
a 400mm (16 inches) diameter circle.
Several can be connected together to cut or draw larger circles. All the shapes you could cut with the basic
system are still available but much bigger…
This can be
used with the disk compass to cut or draw shapes twice the size previously
available e.g. Circles from approx 8 inches to 16 inches diameter.
This is probably most useful to picture framers and
quilters who often want to exceed the size of the Disk Compass with their
apertures and designs
The increment in circle size remains at 1 mm because
the studs under the extension can latch with any of the rows of holes on the
disk. Latched with holes on the main
axis it can draw/cut circles of radius 120, 130, 140,… 200 mm Latched with hole
in the 9 row it produces circles of radius 119, 129, 139…. 199, and so on.
